My summer time vibes are real, Queen! I love to entertain outdoors and fire up our grill. It’s an extension of the kitchen lezzbehonest, of course I love it. Bar-B-Q(teen)!
Had friends over for a BBQ on our deck. My husband and I love to hosting! Kids played outside in the backyard while the adults grilled and nibbled on a charcuterie board. For the mail course we had filet mignon and crab cakes on the grill.
If you haven’t attempted a charcuterie board, what are you waiting for, love?! #BOARDit & they will EAT!
Over the holidays I was the queen of transporting boards to parties. Shout out to Maegan Brown #TheBakerMama. The spread below is the fancy board I took to my MIL’s Christmas Eve Brunch. My theme was hearty biscuits with all the fix-ins.
Can I tell ya a little secret…I have NEVER made biscuits! I know, don’t judge me. Being from West (By God) Virginia, this is a sin. Feeling overzealous, I figured I’d make up for lost time and do two different kinds. The first was an Everything Bagel Biscuit curtesy of Daphne Oz. And the second was a Hot Honey & Thyme Biscuit from the masterminds, Erin Patinkin & Agatha Kulaga of Ovenly. They were devoured, and obviously made the cut for Varsity status. #FutureBrunch #AllStar
Girls night in? Yes, PLEASE! Whether it’s a patio party or a casual tapas spread at my basement bar, I’m here for it. I love to cook and entertain, and have been doing just that for my best of girlfriends. We sipped gin cocktails, dinned on grilled shrimp salads and nibbled at charcuterie and fruit boards. Last but certainly not least, the night commenced with decadent red velvet brownies and chocolate chip cookies.
Major shout out to Kimberly Stevens the author of Savor. This cookbook is full of delicious dips and beautiful boards. (The Green Goddess Dip on page 177 was amazing!)
